Do You Have the Guts?

Been gutted lately? Or felt butterflies in your tummy? We feel the best way to be cheered in such situations is to be greeted by a witty, smiling... internal organ!

For the past six years, gut guru and illustrator Wendy Bryan has been creating her I Heart Guts range of plush toys, accessories, tees and babywear that reflect her cheeky sense of humour and fascination for how our bodies work.

These super sweet creations have been causing quite the stir and, wonderfully, have become very popular as gifts or even badges of honour for folks facing difficult health issues and operations.

“A dear friend’s daughter was born a couple of years ago with only one kidney, and with some issues involving her remaining one. My daughter, an RN, bought the baby one of your kidneys. Now two-and-a-half years old — and doing well — this little girl takes the kidney with her everywhere, especially to the doctor’s office. Last week, when having blood drawn at the kidney specialist’s, she insisted ‘I want my kidney!’ The doctor and nurse were first baffled and then highly amused by the way the toy comforted her. We who love her are just grateful that your clever toy helped a toddler laugh instead of cry. Thank you.” - Becky F. (From iheartguts.com)

I Heart Guts make wonderful, (ahem) heartfelt gifts and accessories that are loved around the world!

We love these plush fellas...

I'm your liver

I'm your gallbladder

We also think this pin is rather clever...

... and love these cheeky Tees!

Also available in mens!

From pieces that celebrate the cerebellum to those that can help you show how heartily you heart your loved ones, I Heart Guts have inspired ideas that... have got under our skin!

Find these ostentatious organs online or come and give them a cuddle yourself!

Crowded Teeth and Loungefly!

We are pleased to announce new Crowded Teeth stock has arrived at Ruck Rover! LA based creator & illustrator Michelle Romo came to our attention a few years ago when we started stocking her fabulous Crowded Teeth range...

Her Japanese cartoon and Scandinavian inpsired art refelcts her love of critters and creatures; Romo lives with her husband and her two cats, Hurts and Morgan. We wonder if some of their expressions inspire her creations...

We love these gorgeous teeny tiny studs, available in octopus, mountains, bears, brollies and more. They are less than 1cm across!

Interestingly, Romo has found time between busily writing books on craft and making art to team up with the good folk at Loungefly.

Until the beginning of this year, Romo was Loungefly's Lead Designer and Art Department Manager. No wonder then that our new goodies from Loungelfy also capture the fun, goofy character of Romo's gorgeous work!

We love these almost edible purses in French Fry...

Burger...

Super sweet cupcake...

And more!

Head online or visit us in store to be dazzled by more cheeky, cute and super fun accessories for the sweet-toothed!

New Colour Film for 600 series Polaroids!

Well! It's taken them a while, but the fabulous people at Impossible Project have FINALLY created a beautiful colour instant film to please owners of 600 series polaroid cameras. It's called PX 680 Colour Shade.

Up 'til now the only colour options we could offer you were the PX70 Push film for taking lovely colour pics with your SX 70 camera, the little business-card size colour film for the new amazing 300 series camera, or a range of weird and wonderful artistic tone films for spectra cameras and 100 series Polaroid cameras.

But those of you with the ever-popular 600 series Polaroid cameras were missing out! (Of course you have black 'n' white options like the lovely Silvertone). So we're super excited to announce that Impossible have finished their colour film for 600 instant cameras and it's on its way to Ruck Rover!

By the by, if all this talk of different films for different cameras makes you feel a bit dizzy, pop in store to check out our handy Guide to Polaroid-ing, or email us any questions you have. Try and stump us!

For more handy tips on getting the best from your instant camera colour film click here!

PX 680 Colour Shade will be available to purchase from Ruck Rover in late June. If you like, email us and we'll let you know when it has arrived!

Walk Like A Warrior

There's a new kid on the block in sneaker culture. His name is Warrior.

This is a shoe with a story...

Warrior was born in 1927 as a small off-shoot from a large rubber manufacturer. Made using spare offcuts from the industry, Warrior became a comfortable shoe: durable, hard-wearing and a preferred choice for those who work on their feet.

The iconic shoe was everywhere by the 1970s

but when communist China opened its economic doors the sudden influx of Nike, Chuck Taylors and other hip brands saw the ever-faithful and comfortable Warrior take a backseat becoming the shoe of the worker, and the elderly.

Then something happened. This obscure little shoe, still more or less unknown in the West, got noticed.

The longlasting shoe, whose strength sees it take about a week to wear in but then becomes the most comfortable shoe you've had on your tootsies in yonks and last you for years, has finally made it back.

Recently available in Melbourne, Warrior have just arrived in Perth exclusive to Ruck Rover!

Check out these Original flatbottom street kicks for $79

and these slim-line Tracks trainers $69

This shoe tells a story about a different side of China. Where a little sneaker has survived cultural changes, in a relatively closed country, and is now out visiting the world. Why not give him a home at your house, or better yet, on your feet?
